Preventative maintenance is now accepted as part of a proper planned annual facilities management program.

With the ever-increasing demands to minimise the risk of unplanned downtime due to equipment malfunction organisations need to have a planned maintenance programmes for their Electrical Switchgear.

In recognition of our customers’ needs in this regard we at BMC have invested heavily in the hardware and training necessary to offer a full and comprehensive range of options for service, maintenance and emergency call outs.

While ensuring the equipment continues to operate as designed and facilitates the commercial activities of the many and varied business we support Safety of Personnel always comes first.

All our engineers and technicians who attend site to carry out work on our behalf, apart from being technically qualified to complete the tasks assigned to them are also fully trained in the following:

• First Aid
• Arc Flash
  They will have the necessary PPE to protect them and they are trained in the use and level of PPE required for the various tasks they might be required to complete.

Maintenance programmes are designed to suit the individual client needs and all the stakeholders involved.  In general, a maintenance visit will all or some of the following:

• Electrical Analysis of the system.
• Thermal Imaging of the Equipment
• Functional tests to confirm the operation of the equipment.
• Checking of connections.
• Photographing of the equipment prior to and after any modifications are carried out.
• A detailed report of the findings during the visit which can be compared year on year.

To ensure we provide the service expected of us BMC has a 24/7 Freefone number for emergency calls to a manned call centre so no emergency call is missed this number is provided to all maintenance customers.
